The Columbia River Compact convened by teleconference at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 to consider treaty Indian fisheries for white sturgeon. Because there are ample numbers of sturgeon remaining under the harvest guideline for The Dalles Pool, tribal fishery managers proposed to reopen the setline fishery for white sturgeon in The Dalles Pool at 6:00 a.m Wednesday, November 2, 2001. The fishery is to remain open unto 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011. Tribal staff will monitor the fishery in case the harvest guideline is met before the proposed closing date.
