Fall Fact Sheet No. 15 & Compact Action

The Columbia River Compact convened by teleconference at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 to confer with tribal co-managers concerning proposed modifications to the treaty platform hook-and-line and Yakima tributary fisheries. The Treaty Tribes announced that the fall commercial salmon gillnet season had concluded. They proposed to discontinue sales from platform hook-and-line fisheries as well. The tribal Fact Sheet proposed modifications of the Yakima Nation tributary fisheries and treaty setline fishery for sturgeon requiring Compact Action.
