Fall Fact Sheets #6 & Compact Action

September 14th, 2016

The Columbia River Compact convened by teleconference at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 to consider ongoing Treaty Tribal and non-Indian recreational and commercial fisheries for fall Chinook. The US v. Oregon Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met to review the stock status of the components of the fall fishery. TAC downgraded the run-sizes of all the stocks to 90% of the preseason forecasts. With the downgrade, allowed catch rates for each fishery go down.

Fall Fact Sheet No. 6a covers non-Indian recreational and commercial fisheries, and Fact Sheet No. 6b covers Treaty Tribal fisheries. Both are appended below in the form of PDF files. The subsequent Compact Action Notice is posted as well.
