The Columbia River Compact convened by teleconference at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009, to consider ongoing commercial fisheries in the Select Areas. The sturgeon quota in the SAFE program will be used up this week. The staff recommendation is to end sturgeon retention in the Select Areas at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, September 6, 2009.
