The Columbia River Compact met by teleconference May 26 at 2:30 p.m. The US v. Oregon Technical Advisory Committee updated the upriver run-size to 160,000 fish, but Select Area fisheries will remain restricted to limited areas and hours because of continuing concerns about impacts to listed upriver stocks. The commercial shad fishery in Area 2S will begin June 1, with daily openers from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. until June 19. Spring Fact Sheet No. 4 and the subsequent Compact Action Notice are appended.
